You may recognize Kristin Armstrong as the former wife of cyclist Lance Armstrong, but I happened upon her through her book Work in Progress: An Unfinished Woman's Guide to Grace that I am currently reading.
Kristin Armstrong was married to cyclist Lance Armstrong for five years, raising their three children while living in France and Spain. She is a book author and a contributing editor for Runner's World magazine. She's passionate about her Christian faith, her family, her friends, and her career. She speaks French and Spanish, is a marathon runner, and enjoys cooking, reading, painting, and travel. Kristin now lives in Austin, Texas with her son and twin daughters.
My favorite quote from Kristin's book is this:
"When you are reveling in your passion and living your purpose, you are becoming transparent, reflecting the inner beauty of God."Kristin includes other pearls of wisdom on subjects such as faith, parenting and friendship. For example, she points out women's tendency to judge one another -skinny vs. curvy, breast-feed or formula-feed, career or stay-at-home, etc. She concludes, "We were never meant to isolate one another with harshness. We were never meant to treat each other with a spirit of judgment." She adds, "There has to be a place to just BE." (Amen, sister!)
