Earlier this month, I started spending time at Faith Sisters for a creative and spiritual outlet. The scrapbooking challenges, galleries, forums, and products inspire me to scrapbook my faith in ways I never considered before.
So, when I saw their book club selection is The Power of a Praying Parent by Stormie Omartian AND that there would be corresponding scrapbooking challenges, I was hooked. I grabbed the dusty book from my shelf and fired up my scrapbooking software.
You see, one of my goals for 2009 is a deeper prayer life. And what better way to spend time praying than over the needs of our growing boy. Too often I jump to analyzing and problem-solving about his eating, learning or behavior rather than committing them to prayer. I spring into action, forgetting there is power on my knees.
Lamentations 2:19 says "Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him for the life of your young children."
Thanks, Faith Sisters, for encouraging me to pour out my heart and lift up my layouts for our little boy.

I did a bible study on that book once. What an interesting idea to tie it into scrapbooking!
Hi Michelle. I love your blog's new look. I, too, am working towards a deeper prayer life.
I am so happy to have found your blog. I am absolutely horrible at being dedicated in my prayer life. I feel like I am drowning under my dishes the majority of the time.
I added you to my blog list and I look forward to reading more in the future!
