Please tell me I'm not the only one who wakes up on a Monday morning hoping for the perfect week. Soon it feels like I'm playing a game of "How long until this thing unravels?" The past few weeks have been anything but perfect or normal with jury duty, pink eye, and calorie counting added to the mix. But out of the blue, just when computer woes, a messy house, a mile-long to-do list, and a chocolate craving were getting the best of me, our beautiful gift of a son (6yo, adopted) said, "Mom, you're a good mom." Maybe it's time to enjoy life unscripted.

Wow. That simple sentence from your son puts all the rest into the background, doesn't it?
Beautiful, Michele!
I love it! Sometimes they just know the exact right time to make a mom feel better!
Love this! There is nothing better than getting validation like that from our children.
"Maybe it's time to enjoy life unscripted."
So true. I struggle with trying to do this. Thank you for this simple and beautiful reminder today.

[and as my word verfication is - kings, I sure would say your son is a king, knowing to say the right think to mama at the right moment :-)]
How precious. And you know young kids don't lie :)
I was here last Monday, and this post made me calm even though I was unable to comment then.
Thank you for sharing your precious moment and positive affirmation in life, Michele.
Also, my thanks and appreciation for your visit and the lovely comment you left on my blog.
As I said in my post, here is hoping we get to know each other better beyond ICLW week!
:)
